Drone property inspections allows it to be possible to access areas that may pose a safety risk while performing inspections, such as a steep roof, or areas and heights that a ladder can not be accessed by a ladder. We can inspect deteriorated roofs that cannot be walked on and provide the client with high definition videos and pictures of their new home and layout of the land.
Inspections by unmanned drone provide a cost effective way to view inaccessible structures quickly and easily when compared to more traditional methods such as rope, scaffolding, cherry pickers, or even helicopters.
During drone property inspections, our professionals will pilot the drone and camera. In some cases, the pilot will be directed to special points of interest on a roof or structure as they appear on a video screen in order to take detailed video and photos of the area in question. The drone inspection is often finished rather quickly. Once finished, the inspector will download, analyze and use the best photos and include them in their inspection report.
Most drones used for home inspections carry a flight time of 20 to 30 minutes and can reach distances of up to 3 miles away from the piloting inspector. While the technology is a wonderful tool, it is not the only tool we use for roof inspections. Sometimes, it is better to strap on our boots and climb the ladder to get the details we need for the inspection. Whichever the case may be, we make sure to compile the most detailed report so you can make an educated decision about your potential new home.
